Data protection regulations
Novem Car Interior Design GmbH thanks you for visiting the careers page and for your interest in our company. If you apply via our website, we collect and store the data you enter in the input screen. The use of the application function is possible with your consent only. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
Novem herewith likes to inform you about how your personal data is processed and who has access to the data stored in the job applicant portal. The following provisions supplement the data protection regulations of Novem.
1. Basic principles
Novem will process and use your personal data in accordance with EU data protection regulations and the data protection laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Novem will only use your personal data during the application process and will not pass on such data to third parties.
2. Voluntary nature of consent
The upload of your applicant documents to our job portal enables Novem to review them and, where appropriate, to conclude an employment agreement. Uploading your applicant documents to our job portal is neither a statutory nor a contractual requirement. You are not obliged to submit your applicant documents to us. However, if you decide not to submit your applicant documents it will not be possible to consider your application.
3. Access to your personal data
Novem will use the data provided by you based on your consent solely for the stipulated purpose, i.e. in relation to the application process. In doing so, your data will be used inter alia:
- to conduct selections based on the criteria, tags and keywords provided (e.g. experience in a specific field);
- for the purpose of the entire application process;
- for the preparation of contracts.
Novem expressly declares that your data will not be used for any other purpose and, in particular, that it will not be passed on to third parties.
To the extent your data will be transmitted to companies of the Novem Group in China, Honduras, Mexico and the USA, compliance with an adequate level of data protection will be ensured by way of obliging such Novem companies according to EU standard regulations. You can request a copy hereof from the Novem data protection officer.
Novem uses data processors to operate its job applicant portal, i.e. companies that process data on behalf of Novem (e.g. hosting services or computer centres). Your data may be disclosed to the data processing companies rexx systems GmbH, Süderstrasse 75-79, 20097 Hamburg and Host Europe GmbH, Welserstrasse 14, 51149 Köln. As companies based in Germany they are obliged to ensure the same level of data protection as Novem.
4. Your rights
You can assert the following rights against Novem in relation to your personal data
- request details in form of a copy of your personal data and the information pertaining thereto;
- its availability in a structured and machine-readable format;
- its rectification if there are any inaccuracies;
- its deletion, in particular if you withdraw your consent or in the event of the completion of the task for which it was provided;
- in certain cases restrictions on how it is processed.
You can withdraw your consent to the processing, storage and use of your data within the context of the job applicant portal at any time with future effect, with the result that Novem will no longer process your data for this purpose. However, the legality of any processing undertaken up to the withdrawal of your consent will not be affected.
If you believe that the processing of your personal data by Novem does not meet statutory requirements, you can file a complaint with the competent supervisory authorities.
5. No automated decision-making
Automated decision-making, in particular profiling, does not take place while your data is processed.
